Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile
- Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable — before, during, and after their appointment — about their treatment and oral health
Clinical Support
- Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
- Prepare and sterilize treatment room and equipment
- Provide chair-side assistance to providers during treatment procedures
- Document dental care services by charting in patients' records
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment
Requirements
- 6+ months of practical experience as a pediatric dental assistant
- CPR or BCLS certification
- Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
- Quick learner with problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Technical/troubleshooting skills for software used in charting, patient records, and scheduling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and desire for professional growth
- Organized, with solid knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology
Preferred qualification: Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly preferred.
