Responsibilities
- Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment
- Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos
- Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance during treatment procedures
- Document dental care services by charting patient records
- Maintain a clean, sterile, patient centered working environment
Qualifications
- Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by your state
- 6+ months of experience as a dental assistant
- CPR or BLS certification
- Completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program (preferred)
- Quick learner with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Comfortable with software used for charting, records, and scheduling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology
