Practice Manager
Location: Seattle, WA
Company: Seattle Kids Dentistry
Compensation: $80,000 to $85,000 (depending on experience)
Position Summary
This role partners closely with doctors and leadership to keep daily operations running smoothly and the office performing at its best. You'll balance people, processes, and performance, creating an efficient, well organized practice while supporting a positive, collaborative culture. This role plays a key part in bringing the business model, values, and operating standards to life while ensuring consistency, compliance, and a great experience for patients and team members alike.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Leadership
- Engage with executive leaders to align operational strategies and organizational goals
- Partner with doctors and field operations to diagnose issues and develop action plans
- Employ structured, repeatable management processes to drive operational effectiveness and growth
- Facilitate open communication channels to support informed decision making
- Advocate for necessary resources and support
Process & Standards
- Develop and document standard operating procedures to optimize processes
Team Development
- Coordinate effective onboarding for new staff
- Advise and train staff on operational policies
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and partner on professional development plans
- Inspire the team to achieve goals
Performance & Financial Management
- Track KPIs for the office, including patient experience, and develop strategies for improvement
- Optimize financial performance by identifying organic growth initiatives and managing controllable costs (non doctor staff costs, variable operational expenses)
- Maintain a front line obsession and promote an exceptional patient experience
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required
- 2+ years of operational experience, dental preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field, or equivalent on the job management/leadership experience
- Demonstrated track record driving top and bottom line growth
- Proven experience managing teams
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a passion for growth
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize, manage, and delegate multiple tasks
- Competency with Microsoft Office and related business software
- Experience managing a P&L with a baseline understanding of core financial metrics
