Experienced EFDA Dental Assistant – Full Time

Location: Grants Pass, OR | Timber Kids Dentistry

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–5:30 PM

Compensation: $20–$24 per hour (DOE)


This role is ideal for an experienced EFDA as well as seasoned dental assistants who are actively working toward their EFDA certification and are ready to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced chairside support in a pediatric dental setting
  • Perform EFDA-approved duties in compliance with Oregon regulations (as applicable)
  • Assist with restorative procedures and treatment support
  • Take digital X-rays and maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Anticipate provider needs to support smooth, efficient patient flow
  • Help children and parents feel comfortable through calm, confident communication
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace


Requirements

  • Active Oregon EFDA certification, or a dental assistant actively pursuing EFDA certification
  • Prior dental assisting experience (required)
  • Pediatric dental experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and infection control standards
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, professional demeanor
  • Reliability, consistency, and a long-term mindset
