Billing Coordinator – Pediatric Dental Office


Location: Chino, CA (in-office position — remote work not available)
Pay: $20.00/hour or more, based on experience

Responsibilities

Patient Interaction

  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment

Billing & Insurance

  • Proficiency in dental practice management software
  • Post patient and insurance payments accurately
  • Apply required adjustments on insurance payments
  • Maintain accurate notations on patient accounts
  • Work AR reports diligently and routinely
  • Ensure timely filing of all claims
  • Provide documentation requested by insurance companies for claim payment
  • Handle accurate billing and statement queueing for unpaid balances; complete collections process when necessary
  • Utilize payor websites
  • Send corrected insurance claims and process refunds when necessary
  • Review insurance denials and actively work accounts for payment
  • Reconcile monthly bank deposit spreadsheet

Compliance

  • Maintain strict compliance with state, federal, and other regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook)


Requirements

  • 1+ years of practical experience, including medical or dental insurance/billing
  • Strong understanding of CDT codes and EOBs for dental insurance
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire for professional growth
  • Organized, with solid knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology
