Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care for:
- Infants
- Children
- Adolescents
- Patients with special healthcare needs
Clinical responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive examinations and diagnosis
- Preventive care
- Restorative dentistry
- Cleanings
- Fillings
- Stainless steel crowns
- Pulp therapy
- Extractions
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Utilize age-appropriate pediatric behavior management techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and all applicable regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach opportunities
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school
- Completion of an ADA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry
- Active Oregon dental license (or ability to obtain)
- Active Oregon Nitrous Oxide Permit
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based pediatric care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for serving children and families in a community-focused environment
